Lyon Olympique Universitaire or LOU is a French rugby union team that will compete in the Top 14, the highest level of the country's professional league system, in the 2014â15 season after winning the 2013â14 title in the second-level Pro D2. They were last relegated from the Top 14 at the end of the 2011â12 season, having earned their spot in the Top 14 by winning the 2010â11 Pro D2 crown. They were founded in 1896 and play in red and black. They are based in Lyon in RhĂŽne-Alpes, and play at the Matmut Stadium in Lyon, having moved from the Stade Vuillermet in 2011.

Matmut Stadium is a rugby union stadium located in VĂ©nissieux, Lyon, France with a capacity of 8,000. It is the home stadium of Lyon OU and replaced Stade Vuillermet. It opened on 19 November 2011, with a European Challenge Cup game against RC Toulon. It was built in just three months after the clubs promotion from the Pro D2 to the Top 14.
